Construction Time Again

Timex and Carhartt WIP (Work in Progress) continue their successful partnership with the launch of the special edition Camper MK1™ watch complete with premium display case. This follows the 2017 collaboration that saw a functional update to the classic field watch based on Timex’s Acadia model. The new Timex x Carhartt WIP is available October 2nd.

While Carhartt is known for its rugged outdoor clothing, Carhartt WIP has been carefully adapting and modifying Carhartt’s core product characteristics for a different audience of consumers who value refined design and quality while remaining true to Carhartt’s brand origins. Carhartt WIP builds on the Carhartt collection but offers consumers durable apparel with streetwear style including Pembroke cardigans, military backpacks, hooded jackets and trucker hats. And with the Timex x Carhartt WIP watch, the tradition of updating classic gear to reflect an urban lifestyle continues.

The Carhartt WIP brand, launched in 1994, builds a strong relationship with upcoming figures in music and sport to be an iconic and well-respected brand in underground and streetwear scenes. Carhartt WIP stores are located worldwide and have locations in major cities including London, New York and Tokyo.

Carhartt WIP again teams up with Timex to produce a modernized version of the first Camper model from the ‘80s. The collaborative timepiece features a stylish colorway complete with 100% fabric strap, lightweight resin case, custom designed dial with the Carhartt logo at the 3 o’clock marking, quartz movement and water resistant to 30m. A premium tin display case accompanies each watch.

By working with Carhartt WIP, Timex can expand on its rich watchmaking history and heritage by reaching a new target market worldwide. The Timex x Carhartt WIP watch will be sold exclusively in all Carhartt WIP stores, select retailers and on the Carhartt WIP website.

Last June the Washington Capitals captured their first Stanley Cup® Championship in franchise history. This year promises plenty of action and highlights and here are a few storylines we’ll be following:

Will Lightning Strike: Last year Tampa Bay took Washington to the brink before bowing out of the playoffs in a tense 7-game series. Tampa Bay won the Atlantic Division last year and will need to fend off likely contenders Boston and Toronto to make another run.

Caps Off: After a 44-year wait, Capitals’ fans got their title. An inspiring season by Washington ended with four straight wins over the Vegas Golden Knights to win the Stanley Cup® Championship. Can the Capitals win another Stanley Cup Championship?

Nashville Predators Prepare to Pounce: Close will only get you so far. The Winnipeg Jets put the brakes on the Nashville Predators’ 53 wins last season with a classic 7-game Western Conference second-round matchup. The core of Nashville’s team is intact and this year could be a telling season.

What Were the Odds: Beginner’s luck or instant chemistry? Last season, the Vegas Golden Knights, made the finals in their inaugural season, only the third team in NHL history to achieve such rapid success. As Vegas gets ready for their second season, what do the cards have in store?

Those are just some of the NHL teams making headlines. Whoever you support, prepare for the highly-anticipated NHL 2018-19 season with essential fan gear from the Timex NHL® Tribute® Collection.
